2019 Maruti Baleno facelift priced from Rs. 5.45 lakh

Maruti Suzuki has launched the new Baleno 2019 facelift in India. The updated model has received a few cosmetic updates on the outside and some feature changes on the inside. Maruti has also hiked prices of the 2019 facelift, as the premium hatchback now starts at Rs. 5.49 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). Like the pre-facelift model, the Baleno will continue to be sold through the company’s NEXA premium dealership chain.

Changes on the outside of the 2019 Maruti Baleno include a refreshed front end with a new grille and updated bumper. The fog lamps are now enclosed in more beefier housings, thus lending the car a relatively aggressive look. LED projector headlights and DRLs continue to feature in the headlamps, though they are now available from the Delta variant itself and get a redesigned assembly. Higher variants also get 16-inch dual tone precision cut alloys.

The interiors have been given a black and blue theme for the seats and door pads. Higher variants come with an updated 7.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system that supports Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, MirrorLink, navigation with live traffic, a reverse parking camera, and vehicle information with alerts.

Maruti Suzuki continues to offer a bunch of safety features as standard on all variants of the Maruti hatchback. These include dual front airbags, ABS with EBD, ISOFIX child seat mounts, brake assist, seat belt reminder, and rear parking sensors.

No mechanical changes have been made to the new Maruti Baleno 2019. It thus continues to come with two engine options – a 1.2-litre petrol and a 1.3-litre diesel. The petrol powerplant is rated at 83 bhp and 115 Nm, while the diesel block develops 74 bhp and 190 Nm of torque. A 5-speed manual gearbox is standard across the range. Meanwhile, a CVT automatic gearbox is available as an option with the petrol model, in the Delta, Zeta and Alpha variants.
