Tata Motors has launched a special edition model of its best-selling model, the Tata Tiago. This new special edition model is called the Tiago Wizz and comes with some cosmetic tweaks. It has been priced at Rs. 5.40 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi).
It is worth noting that this isn’t the first time that the Tiago has received a Wizz special edition. A Tiago Wizz was also introduced around the festive season of 2017. The new 2019 model has cosmetic tweaks that are similar to what we had seen on the previous iteration of the Tiago Wizz.
Changes made on the outside include orange detailing on the front grille, orange ORVMs, chrome ‘Wizz’ badging on the rear, and a few orange inserts on the wheel caps. Do note here that the Tiago Wizz doesn’t come with alloy wheels. However, Tata designers have very intelligently designed wheel covers that look like alloy wheels.
On the inside, the 2019 Tiago Wizz comes with an all black cabin layout similar to the regular model. However, the Wizz edition gets orange stitching on the seat fabric, orange detailing around the AC vents, granite black inside door handles and titanium grey gear lever.
On the features front, the Tata Tiago Wizz comes with the same set of equipment that is seen on the XZ trim. Hence, the Wizz edition comes with a 2-DIN infotainment system from Harman, Other features on offer include power adjustable outside mirrors, Bluetooth connectivity, remote central locking, and a rear parcel shelf.
The Tata Tiago Wizz edition comes with a 1.2-litre, three-cylinder petrol engine that churns out 84 PS and 114 Nm of peak torque. Transmission duties are handled by a 5-speed manual gearbox. Note that the Tiago Wizz is not being offered with the 1.05-litre diesel engine that the regular model comes with.
