Aprilia SR 125 India launch soon, starts arriving at dealerships

The Aprilia SR 125 scooter will soon be launched in India. It will thus become the bost affordable offering from the Italian two-wheeler manufacturer in the Indian market. The SR 125 has already started reaching dealerships across the country and thus an official announcement about its launch is expected to be made in the near future.

The Aprilia SR 125 is essentially a smaller sibling of the SR 150, which was launched in India last year. Aprilia is said to have received an overwhelming response for the SR 150. As a result, the company has decided to further take advantage of customer interest in this segment by introducing a more affordable and economical version in the SR gearless scooter series.

This is where the Aprilia SR 125 slots in. This new scooter is placed a slot lower than the SR 150 in Aprilia India’s portfolio. It is likely to be powered by the same 125 cc engine that does duty in the Vespa VXL. It will thus generate around 10 bhp and 9 Nm of peak torque. Transmission duties will be handled by a CVT gearbox.
