Citroën C5 Aircross bookings started, launch soon

Citroën India has officially started accepting bookings for their debut product in the country. The C5 Aircross can be booked through the company’s official website or the authorised dealer network by paying a token amount of Rs. 50,000.

The Citroën C5 Aircross is expected to be launched in the coming weeks. It will be pegged at a starting price of around Rs. 30 lakh (ex-showroom). Being a new brand in the Indian market, Citroën will surely need to ezrn the trust of Indian buyers and provide a major USP to establish the C5 Aircross as a worthy alternative in the premium SUV segment.

Citroën will launch the C5 Aircross in two variants – Feel and Shine. Both variants get plenty of standard features. These include automatic headlamps, rain-sensing wipers, 18-inch alloys, dual-zone climate control, powered driver seat, an 8-inch touchscreen, and a 12.3-inch screen for the instrument cluster. Standard safety kit includes 6 airbags, Electronic Stability Control (ESC), traction control, and ABS with EBD. The only main addition in the top-spec Shine trim is a panoramic sunroof and all LED headlamps.

The Citroën C5 Aircross will be available in India with a single engine option. This is a 2.0-litre, four-cylinder turbo diesel block churning out 180 PS and 400 Nm of peak torque. This engine is mated to an 8-speed automatic gearbox. The company claims an ARAI rated fuel economy figure of 18.6 km/l.
