The Hyundai Creta 2018 facelift has been launched in India at prices starting from Rs. 9.44 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). Authorised dealerships across the country have already started accepting bookings for the updated model. The new model comes with a few cosmetic modifications while being mechanically unchanged.
The new Creta 2018 gets an updated front fascia. This includes a large hexagonal grille with horizontal slats and a chrome border, new headlamps with a revised arrangement of projectors, a redesigned front bumper with a larger air dam, and new fog lights with c-shaped LED daytime running lights (DRLs). The lower part of the bumper also gets a faux silver skid plate. Other changes on the 2018 Hyundai Creta include a new set of 17-inch alloy wheels, reworked rear bumpers, revised taillight assemblies, and an electric sunroof on the higher trims. Moreover, Hyundai has added a new dual-tone paint shade option on the SX variant.
On the inside, changes are rather minuscule, especially in comparison to the exteriors. The dashboard layout remains identical. However, Hyundai has added leatherette finish on the door pads, steering wheel and seats. This lends a more premium feel to the Creta’s cabin.
Features on offer include a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, and MirrorLink, app-based navigation, cruise control, and wireless phone charging.
Mechanically, the new Hyundai Creta 2018 remains identical to the outgoing model. Hence, it is offered with a 1.6-litre, four-cylinder petrol engine, a 1.4-litre turbo diesel, and a 1.6-litre turbo diesel. Transmission options on offer include 6-speed manual and automatic gearboxes.
