New Maruti Vitara Brezza 2019 facelift launch soon

According to some credible media reports, the new Maruti Vitara Brezza facelift will soon launch in India. Though the manufacturer is yet to reveal any official launch date of the 2019 Vitara Brezza, it is being reported that Maruti is keen on introducing the updated model before festive season (September – November 2019).

What all will be changed?

The new Vitara Brezza 2019 is expected to get some minor exterior changes to liven up its ageing design. These will include redesigned front and rear bumpers, with the former getting more flared housings for the fog lamps. Also, the headlamp and taillight clusters will be redesigned to add more freshness to the Brezza’s character. We also expect Maruti to offer the LED daytime running lights and projector headlamps on more variants in the Vitara Brezza lineup. There is also a possibility of new colour options and a new set of alloy wheels to be offered on the 2019 Vitara Brezza.

On the inside, changes will be limited to Maruti’s updated SmartPlay touchscreen infotainment system. This new system will continue to come with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. Maruti is also expected to offer new fabric upholstery on all variants of the Vitara Brezza.

On the powertrain side, the 2019 Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza will likely get the company’s new 1.5-litre, four-cylinder diesel engine along with a 6-speed manual gearbox. This setup is expected to be capable of churning out 94 bhp and 225 Nm of peak torque. Maruti might also introduce its new 1.5-litre petrol engine in the 2019 model in order to be relevant to the increasing number of petrol-favouring customers.

Once launched, the new Maruti Vitara Brezza will continue to compete with the likes of the Ford EcoSport, Mahindra XUV300, Tata Nexon, and Honda WR-V.
