These Tata Tiago accident images are scary as hell!

The Tiago has been a revolutionary product for Tata Motors. The cutesy hatch has not only managed to bring in significant monthly sales figures repeatedly but has also redefined the meaning of value for money in the budget hatchback segment. As a result, Tata Motors has been focussing on popularising the Tiago as much as they can. The company has also launched an AMT automatic variant recently, while some speculations also suggest the possibility of a hot-hatch version in the near future.

The Tiago has been doing great for the car maker and just completed one year of sales. However, in a market that has been increasingly shifting focus towards vehicle safety, the Tiago hasn’t yet been exposed to a crash test. As a result, there are no Tiago crash test results available, which make it difficult for anyone to comment on the car’s safety characteristics.

Cause of the Accident

However, a set of images of a big accident of the Tata Tiago has surfaced on the Internet, offering an insight into how the car will behave in case of a collision. Though exact details about the accident aren’t known, reports suggest that the Tiago was overtaking a truck when the manoeuvre went wrong. Due to this, the Tiago lost control and toppled down the road with multiple rollovers.

Occupant condition

As per first-hand accounts, all occupants of the Tiago were safe after the crash. The Tiago in question was a top-end XZ variant that comes with dual airbags, ABS and EBD. These features have helped in minimising the roll over as well as insulating the occupants from any cabin intrusion post the collapse.

Tata Tiago condition after accident

As per the images, the Tiago has been completely destroyed post the accident. However, the roof appears to have been opened deliberately to take the occupants out. But the overall structure of the car looks to have worked properly in ensuring no major injuries occur to the occupants. However, the passenger side looks to be completely destroyed, as the A-pillar too has been uprooted. Whether this was due to a major blow on that side or was deliberately cut to open the car’s shell isn’t known.

We hope the occupants get out of the accident trauma as soon as possible. We also stress on the use of seatbelts at all times in the car to ensure safety. Additionally, opting for safety features while buying cars should become the number 1 priority for all potential customers.

Be Safe! Drive Safe!
