TVS Apache RR 310 price, specs, top speed, everything you need to know

The highly awaited TVS Apache RR 310 has finally been launched in India. This official launch has marked the debut of the most powerful and fastest bike ever produced by TVS Motors.

The Apache RR 310 is TVS Motors’ new flagship motorcycle. It is also the automaker’s first attempt at building a middleweight sportsbike. The Apache RR 310 is essentially a production version of the TVS Akula concept that was showcased at the 2016 Auto Expo in Greater Noida. For the production model, TVS has slightly toned down the styling of the bike. Remember that exposed carbon fibre finish on the Akula concept? Well, that’s been given a farewell as the production bike has been given more contemporary and relatively normalised looks.

The Apache RR 310 has been developed under the TVS – BMW Motorrad alliance. It is thus the second bike to come out of the Indo-German venture, after the BMW G310R. Both the G310R and the Apache RR 310 are built on the same platform and are powered by the same engines. However, while BMW Motorrad has given the bike a naked streetfighter look, the TVS Motor Company has gone for an entry-level sportsbike appeal for their iteration.

The Apache RR 310 is being manufactured locally at the company’s Chennai-based production facility. Moreover, TVS already has an extensive vendor base setup in the country, which has helped in ensuring that all parts used on the bike are heavily localised. It is also worth noting that the two manufacturers (TVS and BMW) have saved crores of rupees by developing the platform together.

As a result, the automaker has managed to keep the prices of the Apache 310 realistic at a tag of Rs 2.05 lakh (ex-showroom).
