2020 Hyundai Creta design sketch, teaser video released, launch details inside

Hyundai will launch the all-new 2020 Creta in India in the month of March this year. Ahead of its launch, the SUV will be unveiled to the Indian market on February 6, during the 2020 Auto Expo in Greater Noida. The Korean manufacturer has released a design sketch and teaser video of the all-new Creta 2020, giving us a glimpse of what the updated model will look like.

The 2020 model will mark the introduction of the second generation of the Creta in India. In its current avatar, the Creta has managed to receive quite a stellar sales number every month for the company. However, in the past few months, the new kids on the block, aka the Kia Seltos and MG Hector, have managed to make a significant dent in the popularity of the Creta. Hence, Hyundai has seen this as a perfect time to refresh its offering and launch the new Creta 2020 in India.

As per the design sketch and released teaser video, the 2020 Hyundai Creta will come with a design that is largely similar to the iX25 already on sale in China. As a result, it will get a vertical nose with a hexagonal grille, split arrangement of headlamps with LED daytime running lights, and squared wheel arches. Additionally, the India-spec model will get a new set of alloy wheels.

It is worth noting that Hyundai will only reveal the exteriors of the all-new Creta on Feb 6th. It will be unveiled in the Auto Expo by Bollywood superstar Shahrukh Khan. Meanwhile, interiors and features will be unveiled during the SUV’s official launch in India, scheduled sometime in March. We do know that higher trim levels of the Creta will get a panoramic electronic sunroof and a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system with a portrait orientation, similar to the one seen on the MG Hector.

Under the hood, the India-spec Hyundai Creta 2020 will use the same engines as seen on the Kia Seltos. There is also a possibility of Hyundai having a top-spec variant powered by a 1.4-litre turbo petrol engine, similar to the one seen on the Seltos GT Line.
