Maruti Ertiga Tour M Variant for Cabs Revealed, Full details inside

Maruti Suzuki has unveiled a new variant in the Ertiga lineup that is dedicatedly targeted towards cab operators and commercial customers. Called the Maruti Ertiga Tour M, this new variant is based on the VXi trim of the regular range and is available only with a petrol engine. This strategy is similar to what Maruti has done with the DZire Tour S.

Various manufacturers have earlier stripped down their models in order to offer them to the commercial fleer buyers at an aggressive price tag. However, Maruti has decided not to remove all features from the Ertiga Tour M. As a result, the MPV comes with a power steering, all four power windows, electrically adjustable and foldable ORVMs, and remote central locking. Additionally, the Ertiga Tour also gets safety features like dual airbags, ABS and EBD, rear parking sensors, seatbelt reminder, and speed warning alert (80 km/h).

On the outside, the Maruti Ertiga Tour M comes with a chrome grille, steel rims with full wheel caps, halogen projector headlamps, turn indicators integrated in the ORVMs, and body coloured bumpers, door handles and ORVMs. On the inside, features on offer include a coloured MID screen, a 2-DIN audio system with AUX, Bluetooth and USB connectivity, four speakers, and steering mounted audio and telephonic controls. The cabin gets a dual tone black and beige layout.

Mechanically, nothing has changed on the Ertiga Tour M. It is available only with a petrol engine, which is a 1.5-litre, four-cylinder block that pumps out 105 PS and 138 Nm of peak torque. Transmission duties are handled by a 5-speed manual gearbox. We expect Maruti to add a CNG option to the Ertiga Tour’s specifications sheet soon. This will help the company to target commercial fleet operators.
