Honda has launched a special edition variant of the Jazz hatchback at prices starting from Rs. 7.36 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). Called the Honda Jazz Privilege Edition, it comes with a new infotainment system, some cosmetic tweaks and added safety features. Interestingly, the special edition variant is available with both petrol and diesel engine options, and also gets the CVT gearbox option with the petrol trim.
More feature additions have been made to the Privilege Edition. These include the new 17.7 cc touchscreen infotainment system, which also comes with the new WR-V, Amaze Privilege Edition and City. This system is equipped with satellite-linked 3D navigation, 1.5 GB of internal storage, MirrorLink, internet access and voice commands. There are also a few minor tweaks such as the Privilege Edition badge on the tailgate, special edition themed beige floor mats and seat covers.
The special edition Honda Jazz doesn’t come with any mechanical changes. Hence, the petrol models will come with a 1.2-litre petrol engine that delivers 89 bhp and 110 Nm, while the diesel models get a 1.5-litre i-DTEC engine rated at 99 bhp and 200 Nm. The petrol model gets an option of a 5-speed manual or a CVT automatic gearbox, while the diesel engine comes with a 6-speed manual as standard.
The Jazz hatchback hasn’t been performing upto the mark from the past few months. Honda has been struggling to justify the Jazz’s package, especially in comparison to its immediate rivals like the Maruti Baleno and Hyundai elite i20.
