Exclusive: Hyundai Grand i10 Nios Corporate Edition prices leaked

Hyundai India will soon launch a Corporate Edition of the Grand i10 Nios. Details of this upcoming special edition have leaked on the internet, including the official price list. The Nios is essentially the second-gen version of the older Grand i10 and was launched last year. It is currently available with four trims – Era, Magna, Sportz and Astra.

The new Grand i10 Nios Corporate Edition is based on the Magna trim. It thus borrows all features amd engine options from the regular Nios Magna variant. However, with the Corporate Edition, the Grand i10 Nios gets a few added features. For these new features, the Corporate Edition will command a premium of Rs. 19,000 over the regular Magna trim.

Shown below is the ex-showroom price list for the Hyundai Grand i10 Nios from a Bangalore-based dealership. Notice that the ex-showroom price of the petrol Magna AMT trim is Rs. 6,44,610.

Meanwhile, we got the below quote from a dealer for the AMT variant of the Grand i10 Nios Corporate Edition. This shows an ex-showroom price of Rs. 6,63,600. This translates to a premium of around Rs. 19,000 over the regular Magna AMT variant.

On the outside, the new special edition gets body-coloured ORVMs with integrated turn indicators, and a new set of 15-inch alloy wheels. Meanwhile, the regular Magna trim comes with 14-inch steel rims with full wheel covers. Sadly, the Hyundai Grand i10 Nios Corporate Edition won’t get dual-tone paint schemes and a shark fin antenna. These features are still limited for the top-spec variants.

Feature additions on the inside too are quite useful. The biggest highlight for the Corporate Edition is the new 6.75-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. This will replace the 2DIN music system available with the regular Nios Magna. The hatchback also gets electrically adjustable ORVMs, an air purifier, and anti-bacterial seats.

There will be no mechanical changes on the Grand i10 Nios Corporate Edition. It will thus be available with two engine options – a 1.2-litre petrol rated at 83 PS and 114 Nm, and a 1.2-litre turbo diesel that puts out 75 PS and 190 Nm. Both these engines will get a standard 5-speed manual gearbox. However, the petrol will also come with an AMT gearbox. Sadly, the fun-to-drive 1.0-litre turbo petrol engine is not expected to be offered with the Nios Corporate Edition as it is limited to the Sports trim.
