Kia Carnival India variant details surface ahead of launch

Kia Motors India will launch its second product in the country on the first day of the 2020 Auto Expo. Called the Kia Carnival, this new MPV will compete against the Innova Crysta, the long-ruling segment leader. Ahead of its official launch, variant details of the Kia Carnival MPV have surfaced on the Internet, revealing the various iterations that the vehicle would be offered in.

At launch, Kia will offer the Carnival with four variants. Interestingly, these variants will have different seating configurations. As a result, the entry-spec variant will be offered in a nine-seater layout, while the mid-range variant will have eight seats. Meanwhile, the top-spec trims will just get 9 seats.

The range topping Carnival variant in India will be priced around Rs. 30 lakh (ex-showroom). In order to justify this premium pricing, Kia will load this variant with features like Nappa leather upholstery, rear seat entertainment system, 18-inch alloy wheels, dual-panel sunroof, three-zone climate control and wireless charging. Lower variants will get an 8.0-inch infotainment system with the company’s connectivity suite.
