Maruti Ciaz S price in India, variants, features, specs, mileage, changes

Maruti Suzuki has launched the 2017 Ciaz S in India. It is available with both – petrol and diesel engine options. The Maruti Ciaz S petrol is priced at Rs. 9.39 lakh, while the diesel model has been pegged at Rs. 11.55 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). The Ciaz S has thus been placed slightly above the Delta trim of the regular model.

Essentially based on the Delta variant, the Ciaz S comes with some add-ons that differentiate it from the regular lineup. These include an all-around body kit, including front and rear bumper extensions, side skirts and a boot spoiler.

Additionally, the Maruti Ciaz S get all-black interiors, instead of the dual tone layout of the regular models. Leather seats are standard in both petrol and diesel variants. Moreover, the MID screen in the instrument cluster gets a stylish grey chrome detailing.

No mechanical changes have been made to the Ciaz S. As a result, it continues to be offered with the same 1.3-litre diesel and 1.4-litre petrol engines. Both these power plants come with a 5-speed manual gearbox.

Essentially, the Ciaz S can be seen as the re-birth of the Maruti Ciaz RS, which was discontinued when Maruti shifted the sedan from the regular dealerships to the NEXA chain. The Ciaz S is a more convenient and justifiable name, as compared to RS, which is often related to Rally Sport.
