After launching the Maruti Ignis and the new-generation Maruti Dzire, the country’s largest carmaker is now all set to bring in yet another high-volume product – the 2017 Maruti Vitara Brezza petrol!
Maruti Suzuki was slightly late to launch its contender in the compact SUV segment. However, the company made its compact crossover / SUV segment debut with the Vitara Brezza in March 2016. And everything else is history! Ever since its launch, the Vitara Brezza has been leading the sales chart. In fact, Maruti has been selling over 10,000 units of the Vitara Brezza compact SUV in the last three months. As a result, there are simply no two ways about the popularity of the Maruti Vitara Brezza in India.
However, Maruti is a greedy automaker. And we do appreciate that. The manufacturer never shies away from introducing new variants, special editions and facelifts to a carline in order to boost its sales. This ensures that the company is able to stay competitive, even after various new launches.

Hence, in case of the Vitara Brezza, Maruti seems to have realized that a petrol model can further boost the model’s sales figures. It must be noted that the compact SUV is currently available only with a diesel engine option. However, the Indian market is clearly shifting its focus towards petrol powered cars. As a result, the demand for a Maruti Vitara Brezza petrol will surely be high enough to make the introduction of a new engine option feasible.
Therefore, sources closer to the manufacturer have now indicated that the 2017 Maruti Vitara Brezza petrol is expected to be launched around Diwali this year. This means that an official Indian launch can be expected in the months of September – November 2017.

Maruti is expected to launch the Vitara Bezza petrol in India around this year’s festive season. As a result, it will be ideal to expect an official launch in the months of September, October or November this year.

Maruti Vitara Brezza Petrol
The Maruti Vitara Brezza petrol will be introduced to expand the market relevance of the compact SUV. It will have the same design and features, though the engine would be borrowed from the recently launched Baleno RS. As a result, the 1.0L BoosterJet engine will handle powering duties, which isn’t necessarily a good thing as we aren’t impressed with how the engine performs under the Baleno. It remains to be seen how Maruti tunes it for the Vitara Brezza.
