New Hyundai Santro Anniversary Edition price at Rs. 5.17 lakh N

Hyundai India has launched a special edition variant of the new Santro hatchback. Called the Santro Anniversary Edition, this new model has been introduced to commemorate the 1-year anniversary of the Santro’s launch in India.

The Anniversary Edition has been priced at Rs. 5.17 lakh for the manual model and Rs. 5.75 lakh for the AMT version. It is based on the Sportz trim and thus comes with the same features. As a result, the special edition has received a price hike of around Rs. 10,000 as compared to the regular models.

Changes made to the Hyundai Santro Anniversary Edition include gloss black roof rails, ORVMs and door handles, along with a dark grey finish on the wheel covers. Additionally, there’s plastic cladding added on the doors, a chrome strip on the boot, and Anniversary Edition badges. Hyundai will be offering the special edition Santro in two colours – Polar White and Aqua Teal. It is worth noting that the Aqua Teal is a new colour for the Santro. However, this colour is currently being offered with the Grand i10 Nios.

Hyundai hasn’t made any mechanical changes in the Santro Anniversary Edition. As a result, it continues to be powered by a 1.1-litre, four-cylinder petrol engine that puts out 70 PS and 99 Nm of peak torque. Transmission duties are handled by either a 5-speed manual or an AMT automatic.

In India, the Hyundai Santro competes against the likes of the Tata Tiago, Maruti Wagon R and Maruti Celerio.
