Renault Triber 7-seat MPV bookings open, India launch on Aug 28

Renault India has officially opened bookings for the Triber 7-seater MPV. Interested customers can thus book the Triber MPV at any of the authorised Renault dealerships as well as the company’s official website. Renault will launch the Triber in India on August 28.

The French automaker had unveiled the Triber a few months ago. As a result, we already have a fairly good idea about how this upcoming 7-seater MPV will look like, both from the outside as well as inside. However, the variants, features, fuel efficiency and pricing details will only be revealed at the aforementioned launch date of the Renault Triber.

The Renault Triber 7-seater MPV is based on the company’s CMF-A modular platform. This is the same platform that underpins the Kwid hatchback. Powering this new Renault MPV will be a 1.0-litre, three-cylinder petrol engine, capable of churning out 72 hp and 96 Nm of peak torque. Transmission duties will be handled by either a 5-speed manual or a 5-speed AMT.

At launch, the Renault Triber will be offered in 4 trim levels – RxE, RxL, RxT and RxZ. Safety features like dual airbags, ABS with EBD, rear parking sensors and seatbelt pretensioners will be available across the range. Meanwhile, higher variants are likely to get an 8.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, projectors headlamps with LED DRLs, alloy wheels, reverse camera, and cooled glovebox.

In the Indian market, the Renault Triber won’t have any direct competitor. However, it will be priced in a range that will put it up against the likes of the Maruti Baleno, Hyundai i20 and Honda Jazz.
