Tata Harrier XT+ launched with panoramic sunroof

Tata Motors have launched a new XT+ variant in the Harrier SUV lineup. This new variant is priced at Rs. 16.99 lakh (ex-showroom). It is worth noting that these prices are introductory in nature. As a result, company has announced that it will revise (increase) prices from October 1. The new variant is available with both petrol and diesel engine options.

The Harrier XT+ will slot just above the XT trim in the Harrier’s lineup. It will thus get all features that the XT trim comes with. However, the biggest addition on the XT+ variants is a panoramic sunroof. For this addition, customers will need to shell out Rs. 40,000 more over the XT variant. Meanwhile, price difference between the XT+ and XZ trim is Rs. 66,000.

The panoramic sunroof on offer is electronically operated. The sunroof will auto-close if the system detects rain. Also, user can simply park the car and move out to lock the doors, which will automatically close the sunroof as well.

Other than the sunroof, all features have been carried forward from the XT trim. Hence, the Tata Nexon XT+ variant comes with automatic projector headlamps, LED daytime running lights, 7.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system, 6-speaker sound system, Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, steering mounted audio controls, and automatic climate control. Safety tech includes dual front airbags, ABS with EBD, hill start assist, traction control, and rear parking camera with sensors.

It is worth noting that before the launch of the Nexon XT+, the only Harrier variant with a sunroof was the XZ+, which costs Rs. 18.90 lakh (ex-showroom). As a result, with the new variant, Tata has made the sunroof more accessible by Rs. 1.91 lakh.

This isn’t the first time Tata has decided to offer a factory-fitted sunroof on a lower variant of its car. The company recently launched the Tata Nexon XM(S) at Rs. 8.36 lakh with a sunroof. This new variant of the Nexon is now the most affordable car with a sunroof in India.
