Toyota Announces Recall of 2300 Glanza Models

Toyota Kirloskar Motor has initiated a voluntary recall campaign for 2,305 units of the Glanza hatchback, manufactured between April 2 and October 6, 2019. The automaker has identified a potential issue with the fuel pump motor in these affected vehicles, which could result in engine stalling. To address this concern, Toyota will be contacting customers of the affected vehicles to facilitate necessary procedures, with all rectifications conducted at no cost to the owners.

The Glanza, a popular offering from Toyota, is available in four variants: E, S, G, and V. Customers can choose between manual and automatic gearbox options, with prices starting from Rs. 6.86 lakh (ex-showroom). Powering the Glanza is a 1.2-litre petrol engine capable of producing 89bhp and 113Nm of torque. Transmission duties are managed by a five-speed manual gearbox and an AMT unit, while a CNG variant is also available to cater to diverse customer preferences.
