Toyota CHR India launch date, specifications, features, mileage

As per some speculations doing rounds on the Internet, the Toyota CHR crossover will soon be launched in India. The automaker hasn’t revealed any official plans yet, but insider sources seem to have received information about the company currently in talks with its parts dealers and market analysts. Toyota is presently trying to understand the demand potential of the CHR in India. As a result, the product is still in the early life stages and won’t be launched by the end of this year, and will rather be introduced in early 2018.

The CHR was first unveiled as a concept at the 2014 Paris Motor Show. It was a very futuristic looking crossover concept that came with sharp character lines on the exteriors as well as interiors. Since it was a concept, everyone believed that Toyota would tone down the styling when the production model is introduced. However, Toyota surprised everyone when the production-spec C-HR was launched in Japan earlier last year. The production model continues on the futuristic design theme and is similar to that of the concept.

As a result, if the CHR crossover is launched in India, it will appeal to the younger generation of buyers who want to get their hands on products that look dynamic and futuristic. This is a segment of buyers that Toyota would be targeting through the CHR crossover in India. It will also help the automaker to lower its average owner’s age, something that every major car company is planning to do across the world.
