The 2017 Yamaha Fazer 25 has been launched in India at a price of Rs. 1.28 lakh (ex-showroom, Mumbai). The sportsbike has been introduced only in a single variant.

The Yamaha Fazer 25 retains most of the elements of the Yamaha FZ25, especially on the rear. The rear fenders, sub-frame, tail light area, swingarm, fuel tank, seats and exhaust unit are a straight lift from the naked sibling. The chiseled fuel tank is surrounded by a plastic fairing. However, this fairing doesn’t stretch all the way to the pan of the bike, exposing the engine. This will likely aid the engine cooling of the bike. The headlamp is a straight lift from the FZ25, though it gets a new cowl surround and windshield.

Mechanically, the bike remains identical to the FZ25. It uses the same engine, gearbox, suspension setup and braking system
The Yamaha Fazer 25 competes against the Honda CBR 250R and KTM RC 200. It is placed between the FZ25 and the R3 in the company’s lineup.
Yamaha Fazer 250 expected price in India
The FZ 25 was launched in India at a price of Rs. 1,19,500 (ex-showroom, Delhi). The Fazer 25 is essentially the same bike, though it gets some additional plastic fairing. This gives it a sports bike like look and enhances its overall appeal. As a result, Yamaha has priced the Fazer 25 slightly higher than the FZ 25, at a premium of Rs. 10,000.

Yamaha Fazer 25 specifications
The Yamaha Fazer 25 / Fazer 250 is powered by the same engine and gearbox combination that is found in the FZ 25. As a result, the specification sheet includes a 249 cc, single cylinder, oil cooled engine, mated to a 5-speed gearbox. This powertrain setup develops 20.9 PS and 20 Nm of torque.
