Tata Altroz Electric leaked ahead of Geneva unveiling

We recently confirmed that the Tata Altroz premium hatchback will make its global debut at the 2019 Geneva Motor Show. This new model, which will be put against the likes of the Maruti Baleno and Hyundai Elite i20, is expected to be launched in India later this year. However, the electric version will be introduced at a later stage.

Meanwhile, the Tata Altroz Electric has been spotted at the show floor at Geneva by a MotorBeam reader. It is worth noting that the Altroz is based on the Tata 45X concept showcased at the 2018 Auto Show. However, the model in Geneva is near production ready, with the large alloy wheels appearing to be the only thing that will be substituted before the hatchback makes it into production.

Based on the IMPACT 2.0 design philosophy, the Tata Altroz adorns looks that are similar to other models from the Indian carmaker. The front fascia includes a thin smiling grille with the chrome humanity line, flanked on either side by LED headlamps. There will be a dual tone paint scheme on offer with the production-spec Altroz, which will add a blacked out roof and pillars to the car’s exteriors.
